Biblical Foundation & Core Values for Leaders
Thank you for answering the call to serve as a leader with BARN.
This presentation outlines the biblical foundation and core values that shape our ministry and leadership culture.
As a leader, you are entrusted with stewarding both the vision of BARN and the people God has placed in your care.
We serve one eternal God—King, Creator, and Redeemer—who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
He is perfectly holy, just, loving, and full of truth.
Jesus, the Son of God, paid the price for our sins through His death, burial, and resurrection. Through Him, all people can be restored to fellowship with God.
The Bible is God's inspired Word and our infallible rule of faith and conduct.
The Holy Spirit sanctifies, delivers, and empowers us to live holy lives and serve supernaturally.
We are no longer slaves but sons and daughters of the Most High God. As co-heirs with Christ, we have both access and authority to bring God's Kingdom to Earth.
We minister from our identity as beloved children of God, not from a place of striving or performance.
We work hard from a place of acceptance, not for acceptance. Every task is a joy, not a burden.
We don't work for love—we work from love. You are encouraged to bask in His love as part of this ministry.
We refuse to criticize other ministries or people. Instead, we choose to be salt and light, representing God's Kingdom with honor.
We believe in God's supernatural realm and pray from a place of faith, knowing that anything is possible to those who believe.
There is no condemnation in Christ Jesus, therefore we do not condemn others. It is finished—we are free from sin.
These values define how we lead, serve, and create family culture within BARN.
Each value includes practical application to help you live them out with your team.
Core Value 1
Each person on your team is valued and has beautiful contributions to make. Be open to ideas and actively encourage people to share and be themselves.
Core Value 2
Each member has a gift from God that must be honored. Make room for varying opinions and giftings, celebrating diversity.
Core Value 3
Assume the best about each other's actions. Create a safe space for conversations and forgiveness when offenses occur.
Core Value 4
Make a commitment to love and serve the nation or city where you're working. Speak words of life over the nations.
Core Value 5
Pray for each other, serve each other, and enjoy each other. We can disagree without letting go of our relationships.
Core Value 6
Communicate clearly with your team, be accountable, and create a safe working environment for others.
Core Value 7
Be faithful to your assigned role and responsibilities. Follow through on commitments, stay dedicated, and keep your word.
Core Value 8
Be both accountable and teachable. Remain open to feedback from your leaders and those you serve.
Core Value 9
Communicate with honor and love to each team member. Never gossip or slander—instead, protect one another.
Core Value 10
What happens with your team—especially any disciplinary matters—should not be repeated. Cover one another in love.
Core Value 11
While we respect everyone's gifts and anointing, good character is paramount. Display humility, love, patience, kindness, and gentleness.
Core Value 12
BARN requires dedication and time commitment. As a leader, attend all events, meetings, and training. Prioritize BARN in your schedule.
Core Value 13
Set an example in character and holiness. We're not speaking of perfection, but of a lifestyle that honors the Lord.
Core Value 14
Love one another well, pray for one another, and walk in love with one another.
Core Value 15
Be unified around BARN's vision and mission. Support one another, speak well of each other, and keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
As a team leader, foster a family atmosphere where people feel:
Leadership in BARN is not about authority or position—it's about servanthood and love.
You are called to lay down your life for those you lead, just as Jesus laid down His life for us.
Lead with humility, serve with joy, and always remember that you are loved by the Father.
Thank you for your faithful service. May you be empowered by the Holy Spirit to lead well and bring glory to God in all you do.
